Most accounts fail because they post randomly and chase every trend. This playbook flips that: you build a content system that tells Instagram what you are, then repeat what works. The creator behind this method scaled from 9K to 4M followers using the same four-step process. Your job is to narrow down, prove your niche, and then automate the winning formula.
Pick one niche
Choose a single, clear topic for your account. Don’t mix fitness with fashion with travel. The algorithm categorises accounts by consistency – multiple topics confuse it and your audience.
Deliverable: Written niche statement (one sentence describing your account topic).
Build a content pool
Go to Instagram’s search tab, type your niche. Scroll reels and save anything with 1M+ views to a folder called “Content Pool.” Get at least 20 proven viral reels. This gives Instagram a signal of your interest and gives you an infinite menu of proven ideas to adapt.
Deliverable: 20+ saved reels in a dedicated phone folder, labelled by format or hook type.
Post the ‘Best of Nine’
Pick 3 formats from your content pool (e.g., hook-into-lesson, before-and-after, listicle). Recreate each format 3 times using your own voice and examples. That’s 9 reels total. Post one reel every 3–4 days for consistency.
Deliverable: 9 reels posted, spaced over 4–5 weeks.
Find the pattern
After 9 posts, analyse your analytics. Which 3 reels got the highest views? Look at the top 3 and write down what they have in common: audio choice, hook style, caption structure, visual style, video length, call-to-action.
Deliverable: A written pattern template describing the format of your winning 3 reels. Example: “Hook: benefit statement. Audio: trending sound + voiceover. Caption: short setup + question. Duration: 12–15 seconds.”
Once you have the pattern, keep posting reels that follow it. Repeat the winning formula until engagement plateaus, then test variations.
