Five-Minute Video Close

Replace every sales call with a short video that demonstrates the outcome, contextualises the price, and tells the prospect exactly how to buy.

Time: 20 mins to record
Tools: Loom or screen recorder
Cost: Free

A five-minute video close is a pre-recorded sales video you send to prospects instead of booking a live sales call. In five minutes, the video demonstrates what the prospect will get, explains the price, and tells them exactly how to buy. You record it once (or once per prospect), send it via DM, email, or a landing page link, and the prospect watches it on their own time. If they want to buy, they follow the instructions in the video. If they don’t, you’ve saved yourself an hour on the phone.

1

Gather one piece of proof you can show on screen

Before you record anything, you need something visual that proves the outcome you deliver. A screenshot of results, a short audio clip of a client phone call, a before-and-after image, or a live dashboard walkthrough. Nobody buys the service — they buy what happens after the service.

Explaining the Service
“We run Facebook ads”
Abstract — they don’t understand it
Demonstrating the Outcome
“You’ll get calls like this”
Concrete — they can picture it
The rule: A good demonstration is more about picture or audio than actual words. Plumbers don’t understand Facebook ads. But if you play them a recording of someone calling to book a job, they want it immediately.
2

Write your price-in-context line

Write one sentence that pairs your price with the specific outcome the buyer gets. “It’s $2,000 a month” without context gives them nothing to evaluate. “It’s $2,000 a month and you’ll get 50–100 phone calls from people who need emergency plumbing” makes the value obvious. Write yours now — you’ll read it verbatim in the video.

Structure → Here’s the price + Here’s what you get for it
Goal → The value of what they get > the price they pay
Why showing the price beats hiding it
Most sales training says never reveal the price until you’ve talked for an hour. But hiding the price means you spend an hour with people who can’t afford it. When the price is in the video, broke prospects filter themselves out. You never hear from them. And the people who can afford it have already decided before they contact you.
3

Script your “how to buy” close

Write the exact steps someone needs to take to buy from you. Click this button, fill out this form, enter your details here. Be literal. If you use Stripe, tell them to click the Stripe link. If they book a call, tell them to book the call. Write it down word-for-word — you will read this at the end of the video.

If you’d like to get started, click the orange button below this video. You’ll fill out a short form with your business name and contact info. Once we receive it, we’ll set everything up and you’ll start seeing calls within {timeframe}.
Add a question escape route. End with: “If you’ve got a question before you get started, just reply to this message.” Almost always the only question you’ll get is: “Would this still work for my specific situation?”
4

Record the video: five minutes, four sections

Open Loom (or your screen recorder), hit record, and follow this structure. Five minutes. Four sections. No fluff.

0:00–0:30
Promise
0:30–2:30
Demonstrate
2:30–4:00
Price + context
4:00–5:00
How to buy
Section 1 → “Here’s what we do for [niche]”
Section 2 → Play call recording / show screenshot / demo results
Section 3 → “It’s [price] and you get [specific outcome]”
Section 4 → “Click below → fill out form → we start”
5

Send it: pick your deployment channel

Choose where to send the video based on how you found the prospect. Start with custom videos for your first 3–5 prospects. Once you know the common objections, record one standard version and use it for everyone.

Hey {name} — I know you’re trying to make {their goal} work in {their location}. Check out this video — I put all the details in there so you can go through it on your own time.
Why clients prefer this over sales calls
No scheduling. No hour wasted on a call. No implied pressure. They can watch it on the toilet at midnight if they want. And you save yourself an hour of talking to people who were never going to buy. Those people just watch the video and you never hear from them again. The ones who can afford it and want it will reach out.
